President's Report
April 15, 2009

Since the January 16, 2009 meeting of the PAC-TE Board of Directors, I have engaged in the following association-related activities:

  • Attended the ATE conference in Dallas where I participated in the meeting of the Council of Unit Presidents, served as a member to the Delegate Assembly, and graciously accepted the award for Membership Management;

  • Attended the State Board of Education meeting;

  • Contacted speakers and made arrangements for the spring conference;

  • Worked with Cly Hornung on certificates for participants of the spring conference;

  • Copied and sent resumes of candidates for the position of Executive Director;

  • Answered emails and phone calls from members expressing concerns about the new program approval process/application;

  • Maintained contact with other organizations working on issues related to teacher education;

  • Cooperatively developed with Jim Flynn the agenda for the April 15, 2009 Board meeting.
