President's Report
April 15, 2009Since the January 16, 2009 meeting of the PAC-TE Board of Directors, I have engaged in the following association-related activities:
- Attended the ATE conference in Dallas where I participated in the meeting of the Council of Unit Presidents, served as a member to the Delegate Assembly, and graciously accepted the award for Membership Management;
- Attended the State Board of Education meeting;
- Contacted speakers and made arrangements for the spring conference;
- Worked with Cly Hornung on certificates for participants of the spring conference;
- Copied and sent resumes of candidates for the position of Executive Director;
- Answered emails and phone calls from members expressing concerns about the new program approval process/application;
- Maintained contact with other organizations working on issues related to teacher education;
- Cooperatively developed with Jim Flynn the agenda for the April 15, 2009 Board meeting.
