Executive Director's Report
June 18-19, 2008

Since the April 10, 2008, meeting of the Board of Directors, I have engaged in the following association related activities:

  1. Wrote and distributed minutes of the April 10, 2008 meeting;

  2. Contacted eight new individual members of the Association;

  3. Represented PAC-TE at Bob Bartos’ retirement celebration in Carlisle on May 3;

  4. Coordinated arrangements for and participated in the May 9 Teacher Education Assembly planning meeting;

  5. Received and categorized 48 proposals for the 2008 Teacher Education Assembly;

  6. Met with TEA 2008 Chairperson Beverly Melenyzer;

  7. Sent acceptance and rejection letters to those who submitted TEA proposals;

  8. Coordinated updated facilities and meals arrangements with staff at the Grantville Holiday Inn;

  9. Coordinated TEA program arrangements with PERA President Jane Wilburne;

  10. Developed the TEA 2008 registration form;

  11. Informed by mail all TEA presenters of their presentation times, locations, and registration requirements;

  12. Enacted the contract with the Grantville Holiday Inn for 2010;

  13. Coordinated and wrote a column for the May 2008 edition of News Notes;

  14. Coordinated arrangements for the June 18-19, 2008 Annual Board Retreat.
